More like a really sad and terrible Fu Manchu. It just so happens that two of the hairs have decided that red was the color to be.

I know how that be. I stay clean shaven because my facial hair is a patchy atrocity, but the hairs range from black to red to brown or plain golden. Not sure how that works out.

Perhaps it's genetic. I happen to be 0.2% European.

The vast majority of my genes is Korean, with a slice of Chinese and a sliver of Japanese. So maybe that tiny piece of European is particularly strong since I'm decidedly not short. This assumes the test I took is actually accurate.

You guys know it was because the Welsh were through your region many years back, right? The south Pacific too. The internet says so.

It's possible. I'm half-German/half-Japanese and my grandfather had red hair when he was young. I once grew out a dark red goatee in my teens and people thought I had dyed it.

You'll find that the Welsh discovered NZ (and built stone walls there) well before the Chinese (who in turn preceded the Polynesians); and that the Pacific was colonised not by Asians island-hopping eastward, but by Scandinavians sailing westward from Peru!
