Fascinating story. A wealthy guy spends a lifetime building a system he loved.
Does it count that it all got dispersed,, after his death, and at prices that look ridiculous compared to the money and effort invested? I think that what it meant to the guy when he was alive is what counts most.
Read the article and sounds like the speakers are going to a good home. The guy that won was planning a similar build when he heard about the auction and snagged the trio for $10k. I thought they would end up stripped for parts
And while it sucks ass that he put all this money into a white elephant that his kids wouldn’t inherit much from, at least it actually went into something tangible. I have relatives that have lost more on MLM type scams and it would have been better if they just wasted it all on jewelry or cars instead.
