I like it this way. Think what would happen if people were not afraid. And the damage caused in the past by shameless people.

I mean, you don't see me going into a Daughters of Confederacy hall to insist that a statue of Sherman (who burned down Atlanta) be placed next to Lee or Stonewall Jackson.

Their loss. A thicker skin and some humour must be lacking there. It sure must be fun to not have a sense of adventure. (I used to be on HF, HC, RG and Changstar.)

The funny thing is anyone I don't know in the real world I refer to as a rando. I use it in conversation constantly. Marv thought it was hilarious and it became the official name for new members.

Some points make sense - there's a certain grain here (although there's good reason why) but unlike all other communities you need commitment and consistence to have a voice, and competence for a respected voice. You can't just buy a FoTM product and hype it here for some affirmation that it's good af.

In the Changstar days I still had some (semi-)vintage headphones lying around. Early measurements with all kinds of headphones were interesting test cases. So hey, I sent in and donated some headphones. Pretty cool opportunity.
