Ah. So now we have a number. The last one sold for around 1500 on ebay so this is reasonable

$1500 seems high — I bought mine used for $1050 & later sold for $900.

I thought it looked small as hell. I remembered the LF being a big amp. Nice catch.

There is nothing on the box that identifies the product. A simple Google search reveals what is is though.

Surprising since TMR regularly flips headphone equipment and flipped a Liquid Fire recently.
Anyway, looks like someone was the messenger and told them.

That definitely has the "look" of a Cavalli Prototype. But also, I like it more than the production chassis. Very cool audio history here.

Does anyone have background info on why nobody was willing to continue Cavalli's amps? Build more Crimsons, Glasses, even build the Tungsten?

    Was it too expensive?

When I talked to Alex (briefly) during the release of the Liquid Platinum I believe he is retaining all of his designs schematics. He was working with Drop, but at the time (a few years ago now) he said it would be with Monorpirce moving forward. One major concern he had was maintaining quality components and quality control throughout the entire supply chain (procuring parts, assembly, delivery).

    Liquid Carbon - Massdrop
Liquid Crimson - Monoprice ("Platinum", thx @rtaylor76 )
    Liquid Gold - Monoprice
    Liquid Spark - Monoprice

Liquid Fire - MIA (I believe this was discontinued from Alex's production early on)
    Liquid Glass - MIA
Liquid Tungsten - Never made it to market
    Liquid Lightning - MIA

obviously @dBel84 knows far more than anyone on the topic.

If i recall, my Liquid LIghtning prototype broke in transit when i sent it to @dBel84

Pappi (aka Al) should still have the other proto i built for him.

My Favorite of the Cavalli designs remains the Stacker.

THe little red Cavalli Stacker amp that started it all for me. Not to mention, the YH-100s that were my first foray into Orthos!

A long time ago sitting in the dining room at @dBel84 when he lived here in POrtland. (circa, 2008-9ish?)
