Good to see someone here enjoying Meze99. Its really really comfortable! Although I found it had too much bass and didnt gel with the overall frequency response, but I guess if it synergizes well you could get used to it! :)

The bass is accented and bit loose sounding for stationary use, but it ticks many other boxes for its class and price.

I tried...Modi simply more refined when not using USB.

even when comparing "Daphile + USB" vs SPDIF ?

Even daphile with all the USB gimmicks doesn't beat out a good SPDIF transport. Even a $100 used pioneer LD player used as a CD player is an improvement.

This was on my workstation (Windows), so no daphile involved. Still sounds like the Modi though, just more refined and smoother.

@Poleepkwa nice, I've got the PFE-232 and actually also got a second pair for free before they stopped selling them, just because the L-connectors kept breaking on me.

I spent a few hours playing around with tips and filters on the RHA T20. Totally surprised with the end result. Spiraldots/Spinfits next.

I've been down this rabbit hole with my Lyra II. I personally found spinfits to be too bass forward with my ears and these IEM. I settled with Comply Isolation because they have the right balance for me. What tips do you prefer with the T20 so far?

I first tried the comply' s, biflanges and single flanges. I settled on the bass filters - smoother than the reference filters. Bass got too much though. I changed the size from S to M s ingleflanges and now sounds better. Still not as smooth/ refined as I would like, but for on the go...

Weaker against well recorded songs. Seriously the John Butler Trio kicks more ass than most bands. Then you hear "Ocean" and you have to have the album...
