@caute Came off Schiit's website sometime recently. Jason had already said when the parts ran out, it was being effectively retired.

OH not YOUR gungnir, but THE gungnir is gone. Ah, that's sad, but really, once they couldn't find VXCO anymore (or wanted to save them all for Yggdrasil), we knew its time was limited... + It just didn't sell as well as Beefroast (midgrade price:perf option) and Yggdrasil (final boss)—sitting in-between the two was a weird spot to be, but I will always love my Gungnir...

RIP Gungnir, Gungnir DS is still one of my favorite DACs, ill probably never sell mine. I even updated it to Unison USB.

Still happy with my Gungnir Multibit after all these years. Considered upgrading to Yggdrasil, but then I would need to upgrade my speakers, amps, subs....For its price point it is still hard to beat. Will probably have an active used market.

Making room for singularity! Wonder if that’s the big release they may announce before the meet later this month!?

I wonder what they'll do next? Still loving my Gungnir, I'm afraid to part with it.

Gungnir A1 was a beauty. I enjoyed many mornings making a coffee and putting on MJ2 + Gungnir Multibit. Yggdrasil A2 is superb, but I have fonder memories of the no man land DAC.

Tbh I feel that Schiit doesn't "need" to fill in that price gap. Wouldn't be surprised to see that slot being empty for a few years. Gungnir to me was always kind of in a weird spot performance/price wise, especially when the OG BF2 got released
