    As one of his majesty's subjects now in the US, I'm happy to enjoy July 4 every year over one measly bank holiday every 70. The UK should become a republic and have an annual liberation day.

    @caute... and only the govt and banks gets that day off... in my book, doesn't count as a holiday if the private sector doesn't get the day off.
