I'll leave this here for now
Really going to leave us hanging like that? I am always excited for iFi audio releases, excited to see what is on the way in a couple of weeks. Able to at least give us a hint what product range/category it will be?
Yeah, like what kind of wave? Square, sawtooth? Some people like the sound of odd harmonics.
Straight up thought this was a post about COVID-19.
Marketing like this makes me want to call them Head-iFi Audio.
Well, it's not as bad as the stuff they did on headfi that completely turned me off the company despite already having one of their products and an interest in more.
Thought all that was in the past, especially as this is not headfi, it is SBAF.
Translation: There will be some ifi announcement on some date in November. When the fuck did it need a video rather than ten words to tell that.
Now folks don't have to click the video. Oh... except I forgot the date already.
OK... Public service: it is 6th.
@iFi audio just trying to do their job. They also post in the right area. Not seeing the issue here.
You want a new wave?
Still, I get that not everyone has to dig our marketing strat. It's OK. I'll take those several dislikes on the chin
LOL, I think it was more that they disliked the trailer. Imagine a trailer for a new Star Wars film, except that it was only a part of the crawl with no footage of characters, environments, or spaceships.
Aye aye cap'n.
And speaking of going forward:
(Yes, it's yet another short mysterious vid. More coming!)
So it's either some digital transport or a super bit-perfect DAC. Or hell maybe it's some sort of magic box that inexplicably fills in missing bits to create perfect analogue waveforms, who knows. Also the dislike offered as a joke, just in case that needed explaining
EDIT: wait this isn't a turntable is it
It's something really cool, that's all I can say at the moment
I'll take it with dignity and slightly amused
I hope it's a bit perfect Blu-ray player!
My first thought was iFi has been contracted out to produce the long awaited LHL Wave. That silly thought vanished as quickly as it came.
A Zen-style DAC that accepts SPDIF would be great.
You might be onto something here...
I'm putting my money on four dislikes
Hope it relies on AKM chips.
JK. Even with the dislike, I do appreciate how y'all are trying to offer high value products.
Only two dislikes...I had to go for three. For you.
