I lost some 17kg at least a few years back. It wasn't a quick & simple trick but a change in habits. More walking, vegetables, bike rides to work, football (soccer), floorball and less eating crap when tired because of inactivity. I was thinking about the next year, not a week or month. My trick was to that I stopped working and started focusing on doing nothing. Yes! I put on a pound or three.
It might be water, though I'm only measuring weight in the morning after urinating, and I'm well hydrated all the time. I'm assuming a loss of around 100-200 grams per day. Should be at 80kg/180lbs after two months or so.
