My wife didn't appreciate the transition I just made from The Beatles to Siouxsie And The Banshees... :-) Sep 20, 2021

Ack... I am listening to some LPs and then I listened to needle drops of same LP done a couple of years ago. I need to re-do them!!

How much is too much for an interconnect cable? I'm looking to upgrade the stock cable from my 1210GR...

I use BJC for everything (including phono), and have never had one fail after 7+ years.

If you’re planning on running MM carts with your 1210 you’ll want cable capacitance to be as low as you can get, and BJCs will fit the bill in that respect.

Just purchased a 4' pair in white w/techflex + FedEx 2nd Day for $49.50. Can't go wrong to see if I notice an improvement over the stock cables.

I'm not a HUGE fan of Oasis, but I do like listening to their music. Too bad their works are mastered so LOUDLY.

The late 90s were the beginning of the loudness wars. Very little quality recording going on with popular music then, and now sadly. Noel Gallagher's latest solo efforts are even worse, just crushed to shit.

I thought it dates back long before that (1940s?) to competing radio stations not wanting to be passed by on the dial.

Most of them were below average masters, if you ask me. Needless to say, as I had started to accumulate better gear over time, they had sounded worse, not better (flaws not glossed over in mediocrity anymore). Hope the remastered ones, have been uploaded to Tidal.

So crazy how both headphones look the same in basic construction down to the diver, yet sound way different. I still miss my D2000's and wish one driver did not have to blow out.

It's unapologetically junk food, but really good junk food. Loved the entire show, it's one of those series I sat and waited for. Likable characters IMO, and that counts for a lot.

I've had a few decent color pressings but that seems to be the exception not the norm. Having said that, I generally get colored ones if I can unless I know it's exceptionally well recorded.

The hardness can vary on the dye. Same is said for lacquer dyes as well on wood. Not a huge deal unless you plan on playing 1000+ times.

Picture discs are bad. Stay away unless you are hanging it on a wall.

I seem to remember... You check it under a strong magnifying glass. Audiophools probably have special microscopes. I don't know what strength. You just need to be able to see any chips or damage.

Dirt might be more likely than damage?
