        We noticed it with the Shanling UP. It works perfect on both of my iPhones with iOS 10.2.1, but craps out after a couple of minutes on my friend's iOS 10.3.

        The Shanling UP is supposed to be MFI certified (at least that's what Shanling claim), so I'm still thinking it's a bug not an intentional issue. Still not fixed in the latest beta though!

      Shanling UP + Noble X is a formidable pairing. I doubt you could find better for the Noble X at the price.

        While the bulk of what we own is in in storage I still have AK Jr, GOV2+ SE, ZX2, and shanling up available. It's the well curated 256GB microSD card while my servers are in storage inaccessible until we move into our new house that sucks the most.

        haha part of the reason head-fi became so popular, you can "only" spend 10k and live like a king. two channel on the other hand...there is no end. First step IS to buy a house with a proper listening room though, without a decent sized and well treated room everything sounds kinda shit. How do I know? That's what I have :(

        Headphones is like herbal medicine. Low cost was an advantage. an ounce of the herb in a paper bag from the dealer cost pennies: now it comes in boutique bottles and cost pounds.

        Sacrilege, of course, especially here, but maybe the headphone world should have stopped when HD600 was top-of-the-range luxury!

        If you really believe that USB audio *can't* be amazing, just go with one of the other methods of getting digital audio out of a PC.

        For most of my "digital life" I never used USB. I'm not using it again now.
