There are people here who have building their own amps and modding a new headphone every week. And people like me, who have bought three headphones in a decade, only change electronics when they wear out --- and actually prefer speakers anyway.
There's room for all. It's a journey with very different ways of travelling. Even for those of us who feel ourselves to be at the end of the line and kind-of hanging on, or in.
The learning is the fun part. It's when you know what you're aiming for and trying to get there with whatever finances you have allocated towards it that's remarkably annoying, haha. But yeah, just have fun with it and don't rush-- just enjoy the music you love.
as with anything in life, the more you practice the better you get. So, start writing your take on products and more you will learn, and this forum is great place to start writing as no one is criticized for sharing views
Comment on stuff that you feel comfortable with. There's a lot of stuff here I don't comment on because I don't think I know enough at the time, and that's okay. When you stop learning, you stop living.
You can always add something. Don't stress yourself just share your thoughts what ever they are. It's just audio, we are here for fun nothing serious about it.
I think the fact that a lot of the members here know each other in the "real world" contributes to that feeling. There is a definitely a caste system of sorts on this forum, and it is intentional. I'm not talking about the "friend" status either.
Read and study the content here, it truly is an encyclopedia/warehouse of top notch information. Keeping clutter down in threads is appreciated, no need for 50 updates on what you are doing in a 24hr period.
