Job interviews are somehow more stressful over Zoom, and with video disabled. Harder to get a read on people.

Haha, unfortunately I'm about as good as keeping a stern facade in person/via speech as I am in text, that's to say while I can be formal I'd rather be myself around employers since keeping a mask on for long is ridiculously difficult— may as well be forthright from the get-go!

And thanks Thad! There's one I'm vaguely confident about landing but it'll be a mix of content writing and chat support. Basically a rehash of my old gig before grad school. Pay is significantly better than the old job though, which is lovely.

Thank you! This is actually exactly what I was hoping for, though I wonder at whether the Maven mini won't be significantly gimped if used for measurements?

My level of knowledge about mics is such that I hadn't even considered polar patterns (yes I looked it up). Gah.

You want an omni mic for measurements. Directional mics have different purpose. The Maven is designed to reject room ambience. Think of microphones like camera lenses. They have different goals depending on design.

Convenience or grocery store bought sushi (entire set or tray, not individual pieces) can be thrown in the microwave for 20 or so seconds to warm up the sushi piece just enough to give it that fresh from the chef's hand taste...

LOL I'm sure that many would turn their noses up at it but it's like convenience store bento sushi but slightly more casserole-like with stronger flavours.

Had crispy nori wraps, used them like lettuce for ssam.

Metal can taste a bit edgy as it doesn't absorb the stuff that paper does. Cloth is rather high maintenance to keep it from smelling mildewy (see video above).

The only metal solution that I have ever used repeatedly is the Swiss gold. It’s actually not bad at all if you use a good grinder. Makes a small cup.

No need to disassemble, just pull pads and front foam off (but u must have coin mod, otherwise shit wouldn't get in there), and CAREFULLY use double-sided tape on the end of a cotton swab.

Yup, just took the pads and foam off this time around. The part that perplexed me is how anything got into the driver and on the backside of the foam when I made sure it was clean last time I put the thing back together.

        Ah the mysteries of life.

Screw sleep. Ghost Stories (2020), Indian horror anthology. Getting late so watching this one piecemeal but first couple stories have good pacing and are genuinely unnerving. Tendency for some shots to linger uncomfortable stretches of time but it's used to good effect.

Acting is pretty ace, and there's a profound sense of squick and tension when need be. Characters also teeter between hateable and sympathetic.
