Sometime, when I get a full time job, or just a bunch of money, I will get Altec A7's. This pair is so beautiful. https://goo.gl/qvHr3q

@TwoEars They are not beautiful in the conventional fashion, but it has such nice curved wood bass horns, nice metal compression horn, woofer with silver dust cap, and vintage VOTT sticker.

Weird how audio is changing. Some of the first loudspeakers were open baffle (but not done well), but it was largely ignored until about now

Vandersteen has kept with this design (sort of). Bass is the challenge iirc. I have mixed opinions about their designs.

Yeah. I was reading about Altec history (which is quite interesting) and it went into how the first theater speakers were very inefficient open baffle woofers paired with efficient horns, making it not so good at first.

Guess my ears might be smaller. The pads were touching my ear lobe when it become comfortable for long sessions. The notch above was better placed for my ears thought but headspot.

@Lyer25 Just the way the pads sit on my ears makes them sore after a little while. This was with stock, Alpha, and Dekoni lambskin.

There are a few others who have reported similar issues in the TH-X00 thread.

The only thing going for it was the topless women. The acting, dialogue, sets, casting, costumes, and filming was terrible. The bartender/bouncer at the strip club looked like Tyll and couldent even fight off two zombies a stripper later killed.

Might sell my TH-X00 and get woodies for HD650. I just love these phones so much, TH-X00 are not as good at sound and comfort.
