Awesome when I finally transition well between chords - Dm (5th fr) C7 (7 fr) Bb (5 fr). Was kicking my ass. C7 (3 fr) to C9 (6fr) too. Nov 29, 2024 at 5:34 PM

Didn’t remember to say Happy Thanksgiving. Update? Kanile’a Ukulele’s Black Friday deals were good. Pulled the trigger on a KSR tenor.

Got my circa 1940s Martin Style 0 Soprano ukulele restrung and tuning pegs adjusted. Kamaka white label from 1970s needs more work.

Gonna cost about $600 to get Kamaka back to playability, but it is worth it, and it was my Granny’s.

Tried xGolf w/older son. 9 holes, 1.5 hours, chicken tenders, spicy cheese curds. $140. I'm not sure about the value, but it was fun.

Good: Even after my second journey, I was strongly tempted to initiate my third adventure. That entertaining..
Bad: This literally destroys my health, time, sleep, and any resource I should spend on productive tasks.. lol

I've never had much interest in clothes and clothes buying, but, on the other hand, have always been a shopoholic. I like just wandering around shops!

A friend was complaining about how much he's just paid for some stuff, and surprised how little I paid for mine ...

If you golf, are getting older, and you struggle with your yardage, you owe it to yourself to consider graphite shafts in A-Flex.

I suck at golf too, and follow John Daly's "grip it and rip it" school of thought. My ball hits the fairway, just not always the hole I'm currently on.

Golf and I have a weird relationship. Got into it for a summer at the behest of a buddy; lent me a set of old Ping Blades. took about 6 rounds getting used to things. Then shot a 68. Buddy told me to hang up the clubs or be ready be to disappointed for the rest of my life. haven't played since.

Lofts stronger on new golf clubs, but even accounting for 2-3 yards gained per degree of loft, the clubhead and shaft are getting me gainz!

That's not too bad. I play with 6 degrees difference between my wedges myself: 48, 54, and 60. For me they give me exactly 15 yard gaps and I can always adjust for in-betweens

It's not about how far you can hit the club, it is about how consistently you can hit the same distance with the same club every time. If you don't have that part down working on moar distance is probably detracting from your game.

@ChaChaRealSmooth @Kernel Kurtz I'll have a set of "players distance" irons and a set that is borderline "game improvement." Tested a set of forged cavity backs and hit them ok, but the ones I end up with will give more distance.
