    As for tuning, I just might hyu for some different material ideas once I listen to them. I've got to get some glue to attach the black part of the grill to the surround and then the surround to the cup. Once it's good and dry I'll swap the cups and give them some ear time.

    I didn't find it sterile at all. Very engaging sound imo, real dark background with my IEMs as well. Current chain is PC optical out -> Emotiva XDA-2 XLR out -> 887.

    The XDA-2 is a great value on the used market. It is a very laid back dac that doesnt lose detail and as you mentioned it has great soundstage. It paired with the ZMF Pendant has been one of my favorite combos.

    Mine was the PS series, never heard the DA ones. My fond memory of that speaker was playing Underworld Born Slippy vinyl single. This was way before Underworld become popular when born slippy included in the trainspotting soundtrack.
