@crenca I'm hoping to get my hands on a loaner unit from DN soon. I can finally hear these 2 amps.

ECP DSHA3F is one of only 2 amps I've ever heard so far that are "YOU WILL BE MINE" status. The drive and visceral attack it has while still being delicate and effortless in the treble is a combination that's intoxicating.

I'm starting to see that @yotacowboy the more I listen. The treble is fascinatingly articulate but smooooooth. The amp itself is a thing of beauty, black with sapele. @vtrinidad87 is my new best friend.

HD600 on my cranium again after 2 years, why did I not keep them to begin with ?

It's funny how time and listening experience changes perceptions. I did not like HD600 as much a few years ago. Now I have a borrowed Aeolus along with HD650 and all I want to listen to HD600...

in my opinion BF2's fat bottom is below 80Hz, more like a slight bump around 40-60Hz, so synth bass and kick drums kinda surprise you with an extra bit of oooph. Not necessarily a bad thing depending on what's being fed from BF2, imho.

The thing that bothers me about the Bifrost 2 is the veiled sounding midrange. Sounds this way with every system I’ve tried from my speakers to HD650, focal clear, and fostex TH -X00. I feel like all of schiit’s multibit dacs have this characteristic, but it’s very noticeable on the bifrost 2.

I sort of noticed that mid range veil when I got modius after modi multibit for 2 years. It doesn't have that and seems to have more resolution. Sort of a 4k picture. I have not heard anything better so... I feel it combines those 2 things but better.

I am a little drunk, forgive me, but I thought you got the Eitr to hook up the Modius, so I was a little confused.

Solid deals for both, imo. Schitt depreciates well.

LCD2 classic + cables for $400 is good even with potential Audeze or Focal driver issues taken into account... but potential driver issues.

A quick point of reference: I picked up a b-stock LCD2-C last Black Friday for $495. I'd say $400 is indeed a good deal.
