    Huh. I’ve been using Roon Core on an HP MP9 since 2018 with headless the Ubuntu LTS most-current version and not a single crash on the core in over four years. This seems to be common with Roon Rock though. You may get better reliability if you just install Linux and then core on top.

    I’m running my core on my Arch Linux desktop computer, so it’s not even on its own. It’s only been a year, but I never had problems, either. With the remotes, yes, and even with the bridge on my Pi4, but never with the core. So, yes, running your own Linux might help.
    OTOH, Arch’s frequent kernel updates also mean frequent reboots which might help at not letting the core get into an unfortunate state.

    The whole world is less noisy, not just the electrics. Actually, at least in hot places, the electrics probably get noisier as everyone switches on the ACs at night.
    
    Some of us are nocturnal. To some of us everything is better at night.
