I was meh'd by it. But the Mrs. likes it, and the fact they serve spaghetti with chili on it (the kind with meat). Which makes my stomach turn.

        I second 5 Guys.

My take is they had huge variation by area -- McD is by comparison very consistent imho. Two states (CA, TX) and two Asian countries (JP, KR) showed pretty different quality -- largely regarding patty/searing/bun -- to my taste. That said, I am wondering about what and how you would report back!

So either I save up a lot for a ticket stateside or hold out for a five guys to open a store here. Hah, that'd be fun. Yeah I'm sure there has to be some variation between stores, I just hope the one here does a decent job of it.

Also, spaghetti with chili doesn't sound bad, @Syzygy. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it, haha.

Definitely unnerving. I'm trying to figure out how their asking me for proof of payment might end up being a scam because my cynical side is winning out (I have a few acquaintances in SF but none that I think would send me stuff).

Steel codes are kind of a mess but stainless has at least one thing going for it, if you can get 2 of the same number but one ends in 'L' thats low carbon, which is usually easier to weld and higher corrosion resistance.

Yup! It's the "easier to weld" part that sold me on it, haha. It's not like I'll be doing the whole thing, we're getting help, but I imagine getting any material easier to work with will be a worthwhile investment.

EXACTLY. If these new pads are basically a rehash of the v1 tuning (which I didn't get to hear for myself but have heard many great things about) I'll probably hoard stock, haha. As it stands I can barely use the 99s now and not feel profoundly bleh.

Awful when a business does this, and even worse, thinks it can get away with it. The number of watermark removers becoming available (especially with AI getting good at it) is really putting a strain on artists who don't want to do commission work too...

I appreciate your respect for the artist here. The least a business can do, if caught out at that stuff, is take down and/or pay up. Not lie.

I used to live in Panama City Beach Florida in the late 90's. One year some of our friends talked me and my ex-wife into road tripping up to NOLA for Mardi Gras. It was awesome to see once but not a thing I'd want to go back and do ever again. Too many people all up on and around you, sometimes you can't even move.
