@Kattefjaes *facedesk* So I was doing a quick A/B between f2kand A+. A+ was playing a good deal louder, didn't catch that until just now.

I gave A+ on windows 10 a shot last night. The extremely limited options makes it a non-starter for me. Fb2k with the DarkOne4Mod v1 skin is miles ahead.

@44100Hz nope, nothing that I can discern after I noticed A+ was running louder— what tipped me off were those absolutely visceral bass hits at the end of Giorgio by Moroder, which sounded comparatively anemic out of f2k with my pot in the same position.

@LetMeBeFrank agreed, it's a good "set and play" program with a neat look, but that's about the long and short of it. Perhaps a paid version comes with more bells and whistles, but I can get those for free on f2k :))

Close, actually. Church with the family earlier, and this was one that makes me wish I have earplugs on because you get hellishly painful sibilants from anywhere on the pews. If I'm being unkind, the Filipino-speaking-English accent makes it worse since "s"es are emphasized.

It's really just funny because "Norwegia" is something of a running gag used to highlight a one's lacking knowledge (insofar as country names go). Then again, how does one anglicise "Рахманинов"? I suppose it's all splitting hairs in the end

@Magnetostatic_Tubephile Just saw you edited your post! I agree that upgrading DACs after a certain price point (say, Modi Multibit level) is akin to using a set square to make sure that the length of each blade of grass on one's lawn is within a mm of acceptable tolerances, but given my experiences between the iFi/Chord/Schiit (granted, not blind), I feel I may look into it after I sort the front end out a bit more :)
