Adam D3Vs were legit. Wow.. they do so many things high-fidelity-ish despite too cute form factors and compromised placements. Jun 5, 2025

@rhythmdevils In light of the Alpha Prime fiasco on CS, I'm not sure a loaner is the best idea for SBAF. But maybe everyone's kissed and made up, or simply moved on. (Unlikely.) Either way, I had rather we not ask for trouble. Just a thought.

Hahaha honestly didn't hate DCA that much. IP ethics may suck
tho. Dan's orthos kinda intend to sound like non-ortho. No ortho technicalities (single-sided weak magnet). Cheesy tone. etc. But kinda sound pleasing as I recall (ether flow open, ether 2, aeon flow open). Based on interview, metablahblah is more like sth sdr-ish.. seems to get highs right. But don't expect good bass..

@Claritas I wasn’t around for that unfortunately sounds fun! I already sent an email asking. I know him from way back in the day from the T50rp modding thread on head-fi before his original designs even before he was making mad dogs. He knows me so I figure it couldn’t hurt.

@Aelms If your current mattress has just decent support a good mattress topper can work wonders without breaking the bank. We’re currently in a furnished rent house and my wife bought a thick Molecule AirTEC topper and it’s really great.

My wife bought a PS5 to play RE Biohazard. We enjoyed some older versions on a borrowed PS3 years ago. Now our TV is so big that playing gave her motion sickness. She sold the PS5.

@penguins I think with the newer engine, and increased moving speed (over RE7), the experience will be a lot better than RE4. But the point is we can't still side step -- we need to choose to either run away wo seeing enemies or take time to aim them. Sometimes it feels like the crux of this genre is to leave enough stress to players lol.

@gixxerwimp Isn't buying her a smaller screen for ps5 only more productive?

We have a smaller screen in the bedroom, but she'd rather not play there and nowhere to put the PS5 (small Asian-size apartment). Better for me as my monopoly over the living room continues ... hehe

It is impossible to do an accurate comparison between the 650 and 600 without using the exact same earpads on both given how much the earpads impact FR. Its very annoying to see these kind of comparisons when they dont reveal how worn the earpads are.

I'd just make sure this. I am not particularly upset with long essay per se. But from my experience (and specifically in my writing process), too many words are caused by (1) redundant statements (int+ext) and (2) lack of control/flow/focus..

So when facing long reviews, I used to skim or rush to tldr or wrap up parts unless there are great themes or overarching narrative.
