I haven't seen the GTA 6 for $100 thing, but I have seen a lot of high profile releases from the past year get marked down from $70 to $20 or $30 faster than usual. I think that may be one of the only franchises that can get away with that (for a base game), at least in the release window.

My personal rule is I won't buy any game over $20 unless I know it's one I'm going to sink hours upon hours into. Sales for PC games come up so often that I can afford to let stuff sit in my wishlist for a while until it hits a price point I'm comfortable with.

Steam's return feature is a great thing.

The presentation box is pretty excellent also. With @yotacowboy, can we go back to when people thought $1400 was a lot to spend on a headphone and build and present it as such? The HD800 came in a box the size of a house and you felt like you'd bought something exquisite.

I'm permanently ahead since I quit and took away the winnings on that year, upgraded my gears and never got back to it since after that win. I just use IRA now on ETFs and mutual funds. However, I will still come back to just YOLOing when I get enough some chump change to burn

I'm fond of the Kali LP-8s for TV use, very not bad for music too. There are the LP-6 for 200/ea. They don't outresolve the headphone rig sadly but they dig surprisingly low for bass. For $300 per set though I feel those 305Ps are hard to beat.

It's been too long to say specifically. But I think I posted impressions in that thread. From memory, the Piety Squared was more bombastic, slammy and had better Prat. I preferred it over PMax with Yiggy A2 and over MJ3.

Obviously too many variables and personal preferences are involved to say one is better than the other. But if I was to own one it would be the Piety Squared as it had excellent synergy with all my ZMFs and JAR 650.

How would you describe the difference in sound?

When I had the Yggdrasil A2, Stratus and HD 800 SDR combination, I found a copper cable took the sound too far in a warm direction. The sound was more HD 6X0 - thicker, fuller, warmer - but at the expense of the HD 800's speed and wide headstage, so, yeah, I preferred the silver-copper hybrid.

Yeah... the stock cable on my HD800 frayed, so I got a used Norne copper cable. In completely related events, my search results are now full of things like "how to solder" and "soldering station recommendations".

Mine is a silver case with black caps / 2nd run also.
