i like it thanks for the Rec! I don't like much electronic music, I think because it often repeats too many sounds that are identical (vs music made by humans playing instruments, where even if you repeat a riff, there are minor variances)

@rhythmdevils, check out Weval's eponymous album! And @crenca, I do agree that Rival Console's earlier work is a bit looser and less polished in a good way. Them Is Us is his best single piece, imho.

Around 4pm on Tuesday I noticed the sound of NPR's radio broadcast on WAMU became more chesty-sounding and boxy. On Wednesday my GF asked me if I had done anything to the stereo. So I guess we can hear when the same broadcast feed moves to a different tower!

So, at about 10am today the broadcast switched back to normal. Unfortunately the climber jumped around 5:45am. Not a happy ending.

I had no idea about this project, absolutely in my wheelhouse. Excited to check it out. Thanks!

I found the Cinemags WAY better than the Jensen box. The Jensen box to me was hazed over in comparison. Significantly. But I use the 600 series Cinemags.

I bought a Jensen box from RD a couple years ago. I liked it, but then I got curious/stopped being lazy and did a Cinemag box. The Cinemag was better enough that I haven't used the Jensen box since.

Some have made a Lundahl version. I’ll need to look into that.

However one chooses to pay it forward, by considering their period of ownership as simply renting an item, or as care and feeding of an item, is tantamount to what makes this place so special.
