Thanks Zonto. Looks interesting indeed. I doubt they’d sell it separately. Even if they did, seems like it would be around $3k. Whereas, I am looking for something in the $700 range.

has anybody around here played with the Lii drivers?

I have the Lii F15. Very interesting drivers. Yet to put em in an OB. But love them already for what they bring to the table.

I've enjoyed my M3s for the past few months, debated about waiting for the M4, but no LDAC so no FOMO :P

I might have been wrong about the LDAC. The packaging shows the Hi-Res logo, just like the WF and WH series, which could mean LDAC. No pics of the back of the box though, which is where Sony puts the LDAC logo.

Thanks guys. Yes, I’m planning on giving it many more weeks before making a final judgement. It’s suffering from the same treble issues I experienced with the Bifrost2, when new. It did improve after many weeks, so I’m hoping for the same to happen on the Wavelight too.

You remember my adventures with it, it's possible it's lacking synergy with your amp like it did for mine.

It needs about 24 hours to really warm up. Give it time.

@Hands that fugly handshoemouse looks interesting, but not very easy to pick up if you need to reset its position on the desk without moving the cursor. How do you deal with that?

Thank you everyone, this was extremely helpful. I will look into all the gear mentioned here. In my work, it is the mouse that gets used the most (80%), which I why I am saving the keyboard upgrade for later. I'm also working on building an ergonomic chair and desk to get the posture right.

I will say desk and chair is extremely important. After I moved I just use my laptop at table with a regular unadjustable chair. Tabletop was high but I just dealt with it with my arms resting on the edge of the table often. Eventually I felt numbness in both of my arms.

I got an office chair right away and things improved immediately.

Based on my exp. different tweeter tech. really do have their sound sig and not sure some change in the chain could smooth this out - how the speaker sounds fundamentally.. I'd be careful with these, make sure you like it.

I personally do not like Focal HPs (no idea about the 3k models) because of I don't like the flavor of berillym driver distortion. This might be completely different for you, I can't say really. It seems that paper cone (it might be even some composite with paper and tselluloos) woofer and silk dome tweeter are my kind of drivers.

I appreciate Genelec metal tweeters but I am aware of their hint of metallic distortion and I imagine some might dislike these. At least they don't have holes in FR as some Ribbon tweeters have. Genelc tweeters are damn resolving which is a big plus (this is relative).

Forgot to mention: the trailer reminded me of the Fincher movie Seven.

Thanks for this tip. I imported a used pair of IEMs once and fortunately, the seller did not put 'used'. It was shipped via FedEx and the seller had described the content as 'Electronics'. So FedEx asked me to write a letter explaining, what the electronic was, how I intend on using it and why I had to purchase it from abroad.

These things can easily become a mess here. The couriers have to have ID proof and what they call KYC "Know Your Customer" stuff. I had a package delayed because it was addressed to Ginathom Thad instead of Thad Ghinathom. Had to do an F'in affidavit that I was the same person either way!!! Seriously.

wonderful dac, I could not find a fault. Then again I did not swap in anything to compare. Sounded great in both setups. Two owners can probably help with more detailed impressions.
