Was going through my power amp tube collection. Found a NOS 1958 Hytron brown base JAN 5692. Got it as a spare over 10 years ago! Good day.

That's like finding $20 in jacket you haven't worn in a while. Actually, that's more like $100. Nice!!!

Yeah. I was talking with my wife. I think it’s been closer to 15 years its been sitting there. I have it in the Horizon 3 right now. Took a while to warm up. DSOTM is sounding really good.

Stupid mistake of the month. Thought I had a tube going bad last three days. Nope. Somehow the volume slider on Foobar2k got to 50%. Duh.

Have the Klipsch HP-3 in house about an hour ago. Has anyone else noticed a touch of amplifier hum at the start of Layla on Clapton Unplgd?

I wasn't sure if that's what was being referenced or not. I'd say there is a little more than a touch. Thanks for bringing Clapton to my attention.

Does it sound like one of those quiet air coolers? Also there at the start of Running on Faith I think. Bit more focused on the left channel, no?

Heard of this. Friend had a hip replacement. No history other than family. He's very much into daily exercise. Anesthesiologist put it off due to Na levels. Hoping I can get the test TBH. Next podiatrist visit ask what cardio I can do that's safe for my tendon. Man thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.

Check Discogs. There may be other USA pressings from the mid 80's that were the same master. Lots of opinions about the "best". Only thing is EAC had a lot of error correction when I went to rip it. Disc is NM condition?? Weird. Anyone have any ideas on this?

The Modi Multibit is awesomesauce, arguably all other DACs (including Schiit) are too expensive and money is better spent elsewhere in your chain (for most people). Says the recovering Yggaholic and current Pavane owner.
