Glad you are loving them! What are you running them with? Good news for you is if you like them after 250 hours, you are going to love them in like 6 months. I found that they just kept breaking in for a very very long time, finally felt settled after like a year.

@Inoculator On the digital side, I run the Rockna WD (Signature Balanced) to the Accuphase E 650 to the Fortes. Or, my TT through a NAIM phonostage to the Accuphase. Played around with the Elekit TU 8900 and decided I liked the Accuphase presentation better.

Hell yeah @Koth Ganesh , sounds like a great setup. I have always lusted after the accuphase stuff.

Glad you identified a cause for how you were feeling, bob. At the ripe age of 40 I was put on Rosuvastatin (generic Crestor) about a month ago and was fearful of side-effects, but have been thankfully free of any obvious ones, at least.

I do enjoy Freya+ in my setup a lot.

My Freya S's active mode is on the Fritz so I thought I could substitute it temporarily with the jot2. It sucked the life out of everything - too warm, weird bass, a complete loss of transparency

Another data point: when I bought Mjolnir 3, I hoped it could also serve as a preamp. It was OK, but Freya+ was noticeably better.

Saw them at The Met in Philly last evening. Really good mix of their classics and 4 (?) tracks from the new album, 2 of which I think are as good as anything they've done

And the miracle - the sound was, mmmm, like music. The drums'n'bass didn't overwhelm; vocals, guitars and keyboard were pretty clean. I honestly don't think I've heard a rock concert sound this good for the last 15 years or so

The band was really on; play the song, move to the next. Tight. Very highly recommended if they are coming anywhere near you and you're into that kinda southern rock style.

So even in this hobby I've had a Holo May at the bottom of my wants list for more than a year or two. Still can't bring myself to buy it even used at a good price knowing it will retain at least 50% value.

At the same time, I REALLY needed to refresh my wardrobe and have already spent more on clothes and shoes, which I don't like buying, than a used May would have cost.

Also read something (unverified) that the average American buys new underwear once every 5 or so years. Yet a lot of people have no problem spending $100 drinking on a night out or $1000 on new audio gear, car stuff, vacation (probably with said old underwear), etc.

Actually, not even b stock, but you have to accept a magazine subscription, which IIRC doesn’t include extra costs if you cancel it on time, though. And you can get another 20% off if you send them any old working headphone or loudspeakers in return. X-)

I put in an order for a Citizen Promaster Fugu. I’ll see how it is like owning an Automatic.

The Hamilton has the H10 movement. Amazing movement for the money. Citizen Promasters can be amazing for the money. A lot of value for money.
