To be fair all, of our parties leadership in Canada are much younger. It is debateable whether it helps. I would not pin your hopes on it.

We've been blessed with wonderful old senators (McCain, Carl Levin, Moynihan, Romney et al.). We should not be ruling out the most-experienced, best-qualified candidates with age-limits or term-limits. We need to find other solutions—ranked-choice primaries would be a start.
