Never buy a flagship new, I got the Galaxy S9+ just as the S10 was gaining traction and it wasn't too bad, haha. Yeah, with a battery swap it'll be exciting to play with!

I still like my Xperia 1. Sony sucks in US because they aren't with a carrier and they only aim for certain users. I still love that Sony unique screen aspect ratio. However, in US you need to pay upfront for one phone plus their phones don't work with all carriers with LTE/Wi-Fi Calling.

I almost preordered the Xperia 1II just because of the camera abilities. With the pro app it looks like an amazing experience.

The only negative for me is lack of Fi switching hardware, although that may not be such a big deal after all. I'll wait til I can get one more cheaply and play with it then.

I guess when the suffering caused by hucking around 80 lbs seems to outweigh it's utility. And I was an old kid too. That's when I contracted my case of the Mondays.

I was literally thinking the same thing about an hour ago - something in a case similar to complement Yggdrasil. What are you thinking, like a 60w+ stereo continuity? Or like a 200w monoblock like Marv keeps saying?

No lie I sometimes wish Schiit as a whole had slightly more refined case work but I kind of get it when they specifically have a mission of trying to deliver more performance:cost ratio.

@fp627 their casework destroys most others at similar price range. In fact, I think I recall them being mocked on Drop for spending too much money on enclosures compared to the THX 789. I think their enclosures are fantastic for the price or even some more expensive alternatives.

I agree, but I guess it could still improve a little bit absolutely speaking. Again, relatively speaking, I totally get it.

Have MC20, 22 and 25 on two Win7 and one Win10 laptops. Other than some non-audio feature additions I don't perceive any audible differences. Maybe @Hammy could provide additional details.

JRiver v26 added HDCD support which is an audible improvement for HDCD titles with peak extend or gain. I consider JRiver mature software that doesn't change much from version to version but cumulatively the changes do add up.

Basically I'll wait for every 10th iteration :). Thank you all for the advice!

I sold my RX1R II and I'll probably pick up a Q2 later this year. The word I have heard from people affiliated with Sony is that development of a new RX1 camera is in limbo because of poor sales of the RX1R II. They might still have something but I won't hold my breath.

You may also want to stock up on a couple eyecups and batteries because the II is now discontinued and Sony USA isn't really known for having parts around for years. I love the camera but I can see how it's not a priority for Sony Imaging now that they are pivoting for the pro market.

I bought another 1 real eyecup and 6 replicas. I already have 4 official batteries and some off brand as well since they're the same size for the RX100 series. I am going to use this Porker forever if they never replace it.
